The brief.

The Ascendum Design Team was asked to bring cognitive testing to mobile devices. The catch was, the interactions had to pass behavioral psychology testing to ensure there was no bias created through the design process.

Oh and for fun, we were asked to make the assessments fun, highly interactive, and timed. What an ask...

Our approach.

We spent a great deal of time with the behavioral psychologists understanding the Do’s and Don’ts on how cognitive testing was performed via a web browser. We designed concepts and then went into deep-dive review sessions to further learn the specific details of cognitive testing. After a couple more design revision cycles, we were well on our way to an approved UI experience!

A world’s first on mobile devices: mobile cognitive testing. CEB was thrilled with the final product, so much so, that they advertised the product at Times Square, New York.
