The brief.
The team needed a partner for the development of a new web-based solution to become the backbone of their daily baseball operations. The team had a suite of apps for various functions of the organization (Scouting, Chief, Advance) that they wanted to integrate with their data analytics platform.The existing solution needed improvements for reliability, as well as the ability to collaborate and share tailored insights for action. Our shared team leveraged the current platform capabilities where possible, but envisioned an elevated customer experience to drive positive energy and excitement behind the teams’ analytics program.
Our approach.
Modernized the end-to-end analytics platform (The ‘Stache) to drive speed, trust, and decisioning insights across disparate data sources:
Front Office
Stats, scouting reports, value, contracts, bio, and other key info to aid baseball operations to evaluate players
Health and Performance
Tracks players’ health and performance tests, and notifies if a player has a concerning metric. Provides critical collaboration for player wellness and results on the field
Scouting
Tools for evaluating amateur and pro players, edit and create lists, while saving info about potential target draft picks
