Vinimaya develops commercial software products based on their patent-pending Intelligent Agent Technology Server PlatformTM, a Java and XML-based architecture that enables disparate systems to integrate with each other without the need for common XML, EDI or Web Services interfaces.  This makes the trading of partner integration, information exchange, and functionality sharing fast, easy and inexpensive.

Business Need

Vinimaya, a privately-held, venture-backed software products company based in Shelton, CT, wanted to leverage global development services to significantly lower their product R&D costs and needed an offshore partner who could meet their complex technology requirements and who had experience developing commercial software products and working with ISVs. 

Ascendum Solution

Vinimaya partnered with Ascendum, integrating their own product R&D team with a dedicated offshore team at Ascendum's Bangalore India Development Center, to develop the ViniSyndicate Supplier Integration SystemTM.  Built in Java, ViniSyndicateTM is a web services product that uses Intelligent Agents and XML to integrate leading eProcurement platforms from SAP, Oracle, CommerceOne, and Ariba with supplier web sites, online stores and electronic catalogs in a faster, easier and less-expensive manner than any solution currently on the market.

Vinimaya preferred to work with a smaller, yet well established firm like Ascendum (vs. a larger offshore firm) not only to take advantage of their technical capabilities, proven methodologies and processes, but also because it would provide them with the highest level of service, attention and flexibility.
