Mahendra’s entrepreneurial journey began in the late 1988 in Cincinnati, where he co-founded and exited multiple technology ventures to Fortune 500 companies. In 2006, he consolidated his growing tech holdings into Vora Ventures, which became one of the largest self-funded tech groups (a Venture Studio) in the Midwest.

His ventures have spanned distributed computing, enterprise software, cybersecurity, digital healthcare, e-commerce acceleration, and cloud infrastructure.

He has consistently identified underserved market segments and used speed, ingenuity, and capital efficiency to build category-defining companies, often years ahead of industry trends. Many of his ventures were scaled from Tier II cities, a testament to his belief in building world-class innovation hubs outside of major metros.

Kris Nair is the President and CEO of Ascendum Solutions, a global technology company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a portfolio company of Vora Ventures. With over two decades of experience across various industries and disciplines, Nair has held leadership roles in several successful Indian and international corporations. His expertise encompasses global business development, mergers and acquisitions, new business initiatives, and corporate strategy.

Before joining Ascendum, Nair founded Garnet Infosolutions, a software firm based in Bangalore, which later merged with Ascendum. He also led the Indian operations of an IT services firm and served on the board of an Indian BPO company.

Under Nair's leadership, Ascendum has been recognized for its innovative culture. In 2021, Fast Company named Ascendum one of its "Best Workplaces for Innovators," highlighting the company's commitment to fostering creativity and innovation among its employees.

Nair holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and has completed strategic business management programs at ABB Academy in Zurich, INSEAD, and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. In 2000, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) recognized him as one of the top 10 young managers, awarding him the CII Young Managers Trophy.

As the EVP of Digital, Uday leads enterprise digital strategy and product innovation for Ascendum with a rare blend of clarity, warmth, and vision. With 20+ years of experience spanning engineering, sales, entrepreneurship, and consulting, Uday has been central to Ascendum’s transformation into a global technology partner.

He began his career building MES and control systems at ABB, followed by leadership roles in business development at Kshema Technologies and Mphasis—where he earned top performer recognition. He later co-founded Oventio, advised Karvy Global Services as VP of Sales, and served as a strategic adviser to Vora Ventures. That breadth gives Uday a unique ability to link vision with practical execution.

Uday’s impact extends far beyond delivery. A philosopher at heart, he brings wisdom, humility, and good humor to every conversation. Well-read and introspective, he’s equally comfortable quoting Rumi or unpacking complex revenue models. Whether leading client workshops or mentoring young leaders, he makes everyone around him feel smarter—and more grounded.

He is also a respected voice on the responsible use of AI, advocating for its ethical application in human-centered design. Based in New York, Uday continues to guide Ascendum’s growth while anchoring teams in empathy, excellence, and purpose.

As the EVP of Operations, Mark drives innovation and client success across a diverse portfolio of clients. He has led dozens of ground-breaking and award-winning AI and Digital programs while leading global teams at Accenture and Convergys/NEC.

At Ascendum, Mark leads as a key connector between business outcomes and delivery execution for Customer Experience programs.  Whether refining delivery operations or contributing to client strategy, his voice brings thought, reasoning, and creativity as a “straight-shooter”. He is known for building scalable, repeatable models that drive measurable outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

A systems thinker with an engineer’s discipline and a coach’s empathy, Mark holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan. He is also a passionate advocate for sustainability and social responsibility in technology.

David Porter serves as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Vora Ventures, a Cincinnati- based private equity firm specializing in building B2B information technology companies. In his role, he oversees financial operations and strategic planning across the firm's portfolio companies.

In addition to his responsibilities at Vora Ventures, Porter holds the position of Senior Vice President of Finance at Ascendum Solutions, a global technology company owned by Vora Ventures. Ascendum specializes in digital solutions, including UX & design, product development, data & AI, and cloud services.

As the VP of Technology, Chris leads the Ascendum’s engineering, DevOps, data science and QA teams to build scalable, human-centered digital transformation solutions. With more than 15 years in tech and a deep background in enterprise software development, Chris is a driving force behind Ascendum’s innovation and delivery culture.

Chris joined Ascendum as a software architect, where he led the creation of chatbot products and next-gen digital tools. His leadership quickly expanded—first to Director of Software Engineering, where he helped shape the company’s agile processes and engineering talent model, and later to Head of the PMO, giving him a unique 360° view of delivery excellence.

As VP of Technology, Chris oversees the development of internal platforms and client-facing solutions, including AscendIQ: an AI-powered assistant built to help enterprises retrieve knowledge and automate workflows across complex data environments. He’s a strong advocate for design thinking and works closely with UX teams to ensure every solution is intuitive, scalable, and rooted in real user needs.

Chris holds a degree from the University of Dayton and remains active in the tech community, frequently speaking at conferences on digital strategy and IT talent. He’s known for leading with calm, curiosity, and code that scales.

Loran leads Ascendum initiatives across digital transformation, talent strategy, and community engagement. Since joining the company, she has risen from a business development executive to a key member of senior leadership—driving growth, culture, and impact across the organization.

Loran began her journey at Ascendum by building strategic client relationships and identifying new market opportunities. Her ability to connect people, solve complex problems, and lead with authenticity propelled her into broader leadership roles over the years. Her career path reflects both her drive and Ascendum’s commitment to nurturing talent from within.

Her entry into the tech industry followed years as a successful business owner, shaping her entrepreneurial mindset and people-first approach to leadership. Loran is also the founder and host of The Loran Williams Podcast, where she breaks down emerging technology topics to educate and inspire a broader audience. She was selected for the Cincinnati Chamber’s prestigious WE Lead program, which develops high-potential women leaders across the region.

Gary Howe is the creative force behind Ascendum’s design-first mindset. Gary fell in love everything mobile after the first iPhone was announced on stage in 2007. He left his position as an Art Director at Saatchi & Saatchi to pursue a future in the digital design space. As Vice President of Design, he’s redefined how design drives business impact, building not just beautiful interfaces but brand-defining experiences.

With over 20 years in global design leadership, Gary believes design should lead, not follow, and he’s made that belief a reality across Ascendum’s work. He founded Curio, Ascendum’s internal design studio, to create a culture where curiosity thrives and designers are empowered to lead with purpose. Under his leadership, Curio has grown from a UI team into a multidisciplinary powerhouse in UX strategy, branding, motion, and product design, earning Ascendum prestigious honors like multiple Webby Awards and recognition from Fast Company as a Best Workplace for Innovators.

Gary’s approach blends playfulness and passion, “Keep the wonder from childhood alive, and question everything.” is his design mantra, and it shows in every prototype, workshop, and client interaction. He mentors generously, challenges assumptions, and leads sessions that often turn skeptics into fans after a single brainstorm.

Based in Cambridge, England, Gary brings global perspective and tireless energy to every project. His leadership continues to shape Ascendum’s creative DNA, and inspires digital solutions that resonate and endure.

Suresh Ramakrishnan, CMB, is Senior Vice President and leads the mortgage, title and valuation practice at Ascendum. Suresh is responsible for new client acquisitions, client maintenance as well as spearheading the development of new initiatives across Ascendum’s portfolio. Suresh has been in the financial services field for almost his entire career.  He spent several years at J.P. Morgan as an investment banker.  He has been in the mortgage industry since 2002 in various capacities including origination and operations.  He is a speaker at various industry conferences and has authored several articles about QC and compliance issues in the mortgage industry.  

Suresh has an BBA from the Zicklin School at the City University of New York and an MBA from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.  He lives in New Jersey.

Rob Shepherd is a proven financial‑services executive and entrepreneur with 25 years of leadership across mortgage, title, credit unions, and energy services. As CEO of two companies and a Senior Vice President in his current organization, he has built and launched multiple high‑performing divisions, strengthened compliance and operational infrastructure, and delivered sustained growth across varied market cycles.

Recognized in Who’s Who in America and honored by banks, credit unions, and private equity groups, Rob is known for disciplined execution, scalable process design, and enterprise‑level impact. He holds real estate law certification, attended Xavier University, and has developed operational frameworks used by more than 100 institutional partners.

At Ascendum Solutions, Lynsey Gaca serves as the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner, partnering closely with leadership teams to align people strategy with business growth, organizational effectiveness, and operational excellence. With deep experience across talent strategy, employee engagement, leadership development, and workforce planning, she is focused on building scalable, people-centered practices that support high-performing teams and long-term business success within fast-paced technology environments.

Lynsey earned her graduate degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Northern Kentucky University, where she remains actively involved as an advocate and mentor for the university’s I/O Psychology Master’s Program. She is also engaged throughout the Cincinnati business and HR community as a speaker, facilitator, and mentor, supporting leadership development, emerging talent, and workforce initiatives across the region.

With three decades of experience, I focus on strategic deal‑making, transformation initiatives, and operational excellence. At Ascendum Solutions, I oversee operations across India, the Middle East, and the APAC region, leading innovation, delivery excellence, and revenue growth. My background includes senior leadership roles at some top global IT organizations, where I’ve managed complex accounts, driven large‑scale negotiations, and led transformation programs. I’m deeply committed to stakeholder management, building high‑performing teams, and delivering sustainable and measurable business outcomes.

As the VP of HR at Ascendum India, Parvathy leads talent strategy and HR operations with a people-first philosophy. With 20+ years of experience, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Company’s inclusive, growth-oriented culture.

Parvathy began her HR journey at Mphasis, followed by senior roles at Infinite Computer Solutions and Garnet Infosolutions, which later became part of Ascendum. From 2008 to 2015, she led HR and Facilities as General Manager.

After a successful stint at ANZ as a Senior HR Business Partner and VP, she rejoined Ascendum in 2016 to lead HR across all India operations.

Based in Ahmedabad, Sachin brings over two decades of experience, including senior finance roles at Adani. He’s known for his meticulous approach to controls, his strategic grasp of financial planning, and his ability to align numbers with business priorities. Partho Chatterjee is VP of Offshore Delivery at Ascendum, bringing 20+ years of experience running BPO/KPO operations across the full delivery lifecycle — from client transitions and migrations to P&L ownership and new business development.

A PMP-certified leader with an MBA in Finance and a grounding in applied sciences, he has a consistent record of building high-performing offshore teams, streamlining operations, and driving measurable cost and efficiency gains for clients.

Sandipan Chakraborty is a distinguished technical sales executive and revenue leader with over 23 years of proven expertise in orchestrating complex, consultative enterprise sales cycles across IT Services, Digital Transformation, AI/ML-led Platforms, Cloud Solutions, and Custom Software Engineering. He brings to the table an exceptional confluence of deep technical domain mastery and strategic commercial acumen — a combination that enables him to distil sophisticated technology propositions into compelling, boardroom-ready business narratives that command the attention and confidence of CXO and Board-level decision-makers.

Throughout his career, Sandipan has consistently demonstrated the capacity to build and scale high-performance sales organisations from the ground up, architect go-to-market strategies that unlock new service lines and territories, and structure and negotiate enterprise engagements.

In his current capacity as AVP – Global Sales at Ascendum Solutions, Sandipan serves as the principal architect of the company’s global revenue strategy. He leads consultative, technically grounded sales engagements with CTO, CDO, and CIO stakeholders at mid-to-large enterprises, translating intricate solution architectures into quantifiable business outcomes.

Beyond his commercial leadership, Sandipan is a forward-thinking technology strategist with a distinctive entrepreneurial edge. He has conceptualised, shaped, and driven the development of five software products anchored in next-generation Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies. Each product reflects his ability to read market trajectories ahead of the curve, identify unoccupied whitespace, and translate emergent technology trends into scalable, commercially viable solutions — positioning the organisations he serves at the vanguard of innovation and competitive differentiation.
